Slowing US Housing Market Will Have ‘A Small Silver Lining’ in 2019

In the past few months I have frequently been asked about how the Real Estate Market is doing in the North Georgia Mountains. In my opinion the reason for that has a lot to do with the slow down in the New Construction market, particularly in Texas and California. The builders there are having to provide a lot of incentives to move their newly constructed homes which they have not had to do since the recovery started back in 2013-14. However, the North Georgia Mountains is a much different market due to the low volume of “local resident” sales. Most home buyers here are looking for investment homes, retirement homes, vacation homes, and second homes. There was an article in Yahoo News today about this that sums up where I see the 2019 market headed, especially here in the North Georgia Mountains. I hope you find this article useful!
